biography
Born in Curitiba [brazil] in 1978. Independent artist since 1997, working as illustrator and graphic designer for brazilian companies.
In 2004, he also received his bachelor degree in industrial design from the PUCPR in curitiba [brazil]. After university, he worked with the architect Manoel Coelho and during this year he participated of 5th international biennal of design in Sao Paulo, with the project of urban furniture of the Curitiba City. In this year also, he won the first prize in w.c. handy blues festival [usa] and the corporate identity contest of the factory · hamilton media arts centre [canada].
In 2005, started the research about design and criminality, using the results of this research in the book “design against crime”. One of these projects was the “nike dac” that participated of the design exhibition, initiated to stimulate young brazilian talents in design. In the same thematic, he made some lectures at the purungo, a brazilian design meeting. In this year, he made his first individual exhibition of art intituled “mithology” and was classified like finalist of the corporate identity contest of the “public transport in 2020” [belgium].
In 2006 he won the prize “atualidade cosmética” with the project “racco bebezinhozzz” and had the monography “design against crime” in the exhibition of the prize Antonio Carlos Escobar of the public services.
In 2007 he was classified to the exhibition of bayer s.a. of the polyurethane products with the project oxum [italy] and in december of this year he finished the master in design course of Domus Academy [italy]. In 2008, participated in the Iberoamericana Biennal of Design [Spain] with Ag+. Now he lives and works in London [uk].
